I was born in Telford, England to Peggy and Dave in 1973 and have 3 older brothers.
My family (over 4 generations) have been involved in entertainment and the arts, and after winning the All-England Tap Dancing Championship at the age of 12, I knew I was going to carry on the family tradition.
At 16 I turned down a place at London’s musical theatre school and decided to gain my entertainment experience at one of the UK’s leading holiday park companies. Within 2 years, I was the lead performer and acting entertainments manager.
During the summer of 1991, I won a major tap dancing competition and was then asked to audition for the English National Tour of “42nd Street”. It had always been my dream as a child to perform in “42nd Street” and that dream came true, performing alongside Bonnie Langford in the National Tour.
For the following 15 years or so, I was very fortunate to perform in the UK, Ireland, across Europe and beyond, and on the West End stage. I have performed alongside performing celebrities both on the stage and on TV – I have listed these on my resume. It has been a great ride and it’s not over yet….
In 2007, after living and performing in Germany for over 12 years, I finally returned home.
I had previously performed, choreographed and directed professional shows for other companies but had never had the opportunity to do all this for my own company.
During 2007, with my partner Andy, we researched and developed a brand new concept in musical theatre and in February 2008 we formed Singing Tooth Productions Limited. The “in Motion” shows toured 110 dates and received superb reviews wherever they where performed.
On 23rd November 2008, me and Andy got married and consequently, our relation and company went from strength to strength!
Over the last couple of years, we have expanded what the company does, and indeed, what I now do. The award-winning “in Motion” shows no longer tour but are now performed at holiday parks and at special events throughout the UK. I produced my own one-man show which I tour the UK with. We formed a brand new duet show (with Sean Watts) – Tidy Too which also tours venues and special events throughout the year. During the last few summers, I have been Entertainments Manager at Clarach Bay Holiday Village and have co-produced the “in Motion” shows which are regularly performed there.
Our other company – Brent Hunt is responsible for all online promotions of both our own company network as well as for many other companies.
So, I’ve been a busy boy! I’ve been enjoying and continue to enjoy both my personal and work life and look forward to a happy future 🙂
